SAP, L’Oreal, and GEICO were among those recognized in the 2018 Potentialpark Study, which ranks the best employers in digital talent communication in the United States. BNO was a sponsor and co-presenter at the event, which was held on Thursday, March 15th, at KPMG’s New York Park Avenue office.
The conference highlighted data from its 2018 study of careers websites, online application process, social media mix, and mobile experience for university and graduate students. The annual study surveys more than 25,000 respondents with special focus on IT, engineering, and business schools.
The event also recognizes the study’s top 30 employers (overall and within each category), features topical presentations, and provides an opportunity for employers to network and share best practices informally.
We congratulate our clients KPMG, Verizon, Johnson & Johnson, and BASF for being recognized as Top 30 Employers. This year, Verizon ranked among the top 10 employers in the Mobile Experience category and moved up 18 spots in the overall ranking.
Robin Dagostino from SAP, the top performing company overall, shared SAP’s strategy for success in hiring young talent: reach out to them in their space using the tools they are comfortable with and invite them to connect at regional events. Other presentations included:
- Your People Are Your Voice: Leveraging Employee Brand Advocates – Jennifer Jones Newbill, Director Employment Brand, Dell
- The General Motors Journey: Refreshing Our Employer Brand and Re-launching Our Careers Website – Suzanne Johnson, Careers Website & Employer Brand Manager, General Motors
- HIRE Engagement: Branded Social Content that Works – Rohan Mitra, BNO Social Strategy & Experience Design Lead; and Len Abbazia, Verizon Marketing Communications & Branding Manager for Talent Acquisition.
In our next post, we’ll share highlights of our presentation on branded social content that works – including how our collaboration with Verizon led to an increase in applications and hires through social, with significantly less media spend.
